| Leapfest 2009 |
If you missed this years Leapfest, you
missed a perfect day. The weather was
beautiful. The jumpers young, proud and
"very" Airborne.
There was almost continual jumping from
Chinook helicopters, in sticks of 4.
Jumpers landing close to the crowds, one
too close and landed in the trees.
There were Airborne troopers from many
countries. There were veterans from
WWII, Korea, Vietnam . We all mingled
together, we laughed and told stories. We
found we all have something in common,
that of being Airborne!
A complete Airborne spirit was
everywhere. It was enjoyable to relive the
old days through these young soldiers.
